Excited, nervous and incredibubbly happy

And finally, one more day... one more sleep...

It's hard to describe the atmosphere in the office this morning.
All our mornings went something like this: 4:30am none of us could sleep. 6am we were checking our e-mails. 7:30am we were walking through our doors.
The unorganized coordination of schedules was so accurate that it kinda frightened us!
But.. we can't help ourselves. It's such an amazing feeling to be almost there.
Obviously, like with anything so important, everything was going array this week. The website was broken a couple of times, the transaction process not really in place... everything that could go wrong was going wrong.
I'd like to say that we all have the ability to look at the silver lining right after the storm, but to be quite honest, it's been such a stressful week that it's been impossible to calm down.
Having said that, we are so excited about our website launching that everything that has happened this week feels like a giant blur. We don't even have the desire to fight with our computers (mine just came back from the Apple shop after a week long coma), or to worry about the car not starting. Why is it that things always go wrong all at once?! That unorganized coordination eerily moves around us.

We have done everything we can to source the best products, to get the best deals, to organize the most secure payment features for our customers and the most reliable delivery methods. Our goal is to embrace technology on one front pushing our e-commerce features to be as up to date as they can be. We are buddy buddies now with Twitter and Facebook. But we will also do our best to keep our business as old school as possible (we believe in hand written letters, one-on-one customer support, and plain pen and paper).

So here it goes... one more night... one more sleep. Tomorrow... you are only a day away.

Bubble Tea House Company: A moment to enjoy

As we sit here in the office tying up all the last loose bits before our big launch, we can't help but feel incredibly excited about what is about to happen on Friday.
Last September, we set out on a quest to find not only the best possible products, but to find innovative suppliers that would create reliable partnerships with us as we aim to revolutionise the world of Bubble Tea.
For months we researched, gathered, traveled and worked endless hours so that we can get together the list of supplies which make up our wholesale website. Our main goal is to eliminate from your list the tedious and oftentimes frustrating task of sourcing and importing, allowing you to have more time in your business to develop recipes and wow costumers.
We cannot wait to feel the joy of having fellow Bubble Tea businesses start working alongside of us, and together we will begin to do our best to bring to this market the deliciously sedductive drinks.

We love you Glasgow!

The amount of snow that Glasgow received this past December did not stop us from heading up there to do further Bubble Tea research. Our flight was better than most flights that we have been taking lately. There was hardly any turbulence, and the skies were clear which allowed us to have a wide view of the United Kingdom as we flew from Stansted into Glasgow.
When we arrived, we stepped out of the plane and we thought we were back in Canada! The air was a bone chilling -7 degrees, but with the wind it felt five degrees lower than that. There was a thin layer of ice on the ground and piles of snow to the side. We skated our way back to the terminal, where we picked up our luggage and headed outside to catch a bus that would take us straight into town.
Although our hotel was not far, we decided to jump in a taxi because of the dangerous conditions for walking on ice, added to our labour of towing our suitcases. But, just like us, half of Glasgow decided it was best to take taxis than to walk in the freezing city streets. Which left us with two choices, wait for a taxi for two hours, or walk and drag your luggage through the ice, snow and mud.
But we made it.... we had to make one stop, our toes were beginning to freeze because we didn't have the right footwear. When we removed our shoes, my toes were the worst... they were so red they almost started to look blue. After rubbing them to generate heat, we got our shoes back on and started to make our way outside.
Except... we had no idea where we were going! And this is the moment we realized we loved Glasgow... out of nowhere, a young woman approached us and asked us if we needed any help. Since we did, she explained to us how to get to our destination, walked outside with us and guided us perfectly! It was freezing, and she didn't have to go outside and yet she did! She was the second person to spot us with a map, looking lost, that offered help that night. The friendliness of the Galswegieans stuck throughout our trip. Taxi drivers, restaurant waiters, hostesses, hotel staff, people on the street, shopkeepers... everywhere we looked there were friendly faces. Even with the weather being as harsh as it was, they had a smile on and they were eager to chat and help you.
Thank you Glasgow for making our visit so pleasant. Our research was very successful during our trip. We can't wait to go back and start trading with you our delicious Bubble Tea drinks, powders, syrups and ideas.
